She has 4 years prior experience in fitness as a personal trainer and fitness director. After being the Medical Integration Coordinator for the Next Steps program for over 2 years, she has advanced to Fitness Manager as of May 2019. She has always wanted to educate as many people as possible about how to exercise properly, regardless of prior injury or disability. She enjoys teaching group exercise, strength training, and spending time with her dog, Zoey.

She started as a Fitness Specialist and in 2016 took on the role of Fitness Supervisor. Her hobbies include exercising and riding horses. Kaylie has been horse-back riding and barrel racing since she was 4 years old. Kaylie’s passion for fitness began when she was in college. As she began exercising more she developed a deeper passion for fitness and ended up changing her major to Human Performance. Kaylie has greatly benefited from learning more about exercise. In 2016 Kaylie had hip surgery that limited her exercise and horse-back riding. With her background in fitness she was able to modify workouts to be able to strengthen her hip so that she can competitively barrel race again. Kaylie loves sharing her knowledge for fitness with others and enjoys helping people reach their fitness goals.

Education: B.S. – M.S. – Exercise Science, California University of PA, BS Sport & Exercise Science, Gannon University Certifications: NSCA – CSCS Tim graduated from Gannon University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science. Shortly after graduating, Tim became certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In 2011, he completed a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion through the California University of Pennsylvania. Tim’s philosophy utilizes a movement screen to individualize exercise programs. Taking into account any joint limitations is paramount. The initial focus is on flexibility to limit compensations and reduce the risk of injury. Strengthening is incorporated once appropriate movement is achieved. The goal is that the improvements made at the gym carry over to an overall improved quality of life.

Athletics have been a large part of Zach’s life, playing multiple sports year round since he was four-years old and excelling at wrestling and baseball. Zach has also worked with athletic populations, coaching wrestling and doing specialized athletic testing on Gannon University’s football, softball and women’s wrestling team. While pursuing his MS, he gained experience training and programing exercise prescriptions with populations outside of the athletic realm when he interned with the Downtown YMCA. Zach’s hobbies outside of work include riding his motorcycle, hunting, working out, wood-working, and just being outside. Zach will be continuing his education at Concordia University of Chicago where he will be earning his doctorate degree in Health and Human Performance.

Education: MS Exercise Science- Mercyhurst University, BS Exercise Science- Skidmore College, and BS Nursing-Gannon University Certifications: ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Functional Movement Screen Certified Level 1, and ACE Senior Fitness Specialist Ali started working for LECOM in 2016. She graduated from Mercyhurst University with her MS in Exercise Science. Ali is a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through ACSM, Functional Movement Screen Specialist, and Senior Fitness Specialist through ACE. She specializes in prescribing exercise for special populations; especially cardiac, metabolic, and neurologic disorders. Ali also enjoys working with athletes and has previously provided strength and conditioning services to Division II athletes at Mercyhurst University. She is passionate about using exercise to improve quality of life and promoting optimal health. Ali is a native Vermonter who enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with her dogs Hunter and Johnny.

Having graduated Mercyhurst University, Dalton has experience with multiple populations including workplace wellness, geriatrics, medically integrated populations, as well as high school and collegiate sports performance in hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. His passion lies in the success of his clients and the challenge to create an exercise prescription tailored to their specific needs. His hobbies include strength training, running, hunting, woodworking, being outside, and spending time with his family.

Education: B.S. in Sport and Exercise Science at Gannon University, DPT at Gannon University (In Progress) Certification: ACSM CPT Thomas has been with LECOM since 2012. He worked in environmental services throughout high school and continued working while pursuing his bachelor’s degree. After obtaining his Sport and Exercise Science degree in 2017, Thomas began working as a fitness specialist. Thomas’ hobbies include exercising, mixed martial arts, being outdoors, and riding his motorcycle. Since he was a teenager, Thomas has had a passion for health and fitness. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Gannon University and has dedicated his career to improving people’s lives through exercise. His fitness specialties include strength training, high intensity interval training, corrective exercise, and injury rehabilitation. Thomas always encourages people to push themselves to new limits as well as motivate them inside and outside of the gym.

Education: Ph.D. - Health Education and Promotion - Kent State University Certifications: NATA- Certified Athletic Trainer Mary has been with LECOM since 2015. She has been a certified athletic trainer (ATC) for 29 years so athletics and fitness come naturally to her. She has played softball since she was nine years old. Also, she played tackle football for eleven (11) years and coached for three (3) years. Further, she is now playing flag football for Alzheimer's awareness. Her degrees include a PhD from Kent State University, a MA degree from Edinboro University, and a BS degree from Penn State University. She has experience working with all age groups and fitness abilities. Mary also educates future professionals in the health and fitness arena at two (2) local universities: Gannon and Edinboro Universities.

Denise joined the LECOM Wellness Center Team in 2019. Denise is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the following subgroups: School Nutrition Services (SNS) and Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN). Currently and in the past, Denise has worked as a Food Service Director, a Weight Counselor, a Dietary Manager, and as a middle school coach for cross country as well as track and field. Denise is passionate about nutrition, fitness and wellness.

She has always been passionate about fitness due to playing many sports while growing up. Krista’s specialties are working with athletes, teaching group exercise classes, and strength training. Her hobbies consist of anything in the great outdoors including running on Presque Isle, camping, and playing sports with friends.

Specialties include improving functional mobility, weight loss as well as strength and conditioning. Previous experience includes program development and performance testing in collegiate and high school athletes, running biomechanics as well as developing group exercise classes for beginner strength training, tabata and cycle. Hobbies include training for half marathons, marathons and triathlons.
